Time for a Change

Whether it is good or bad

Things need to be dealt with.

Problems from the past

should be looked at

and then seen with new eyes.

Outside forces will come into play.

Fear can be overwhelming.

As strong as it is

surviving through it all

is the strongest response of all.

He didn’t mean it

It was an accident.

He misjudged.

It was not intentional.

But that did not matter.

Her fury was instant.

She attacked without hesitation.

All he could do was hide.

Even that did not save him.

She knew his safe spot.

She waited until it was no longer hidden.

Then when her fury was abated

And he had been punished

Did she calm down again.

Waiting until the next time.

The next time he made a mistake.

Turmoil in trouble

The mind refuses to stay focused.

Tangents appear with frequency.

Mouth vomits words fast.

Too fast.

The heart spills it secrets.

A touch and then a hug.

A long hug.

One that helps.

One that calms.

One that soothes.

One that reminds the heart of being loved.

One that is love.

Unlimited Lives

An oxymoron at its finest.

A term gamer geeks live for

when their game gives you an hour of them.

Still, the lives end when the hour is up.

Are all our lives at an end?

Is our hour up?

Gamer existentialism.

Sooner or later the game will end.

But real life demands we live our lives

like we have no limits.

Our unlimited life is one we choose to live.

Not when our hour is up.

Memo for the Day

Work smarter not harder.

Work harder or you will be fired.

Departure of employees will not be discussed.

Next meeting will discuss employee turnout.

New meeting to discuss employee morale.

Management rearrangement revealed at next meeting.

Management needs to discuss where did all the employees go?

Pants

There was a pair

somewhere around here

that were not stained

or previously worn

{for five days straight}.

Ones that were fresh and clean

so that they gird the loins

of the one who must make their way

into the eye of the public

{grocery stores count}.

Cloth coverings not torn

but ones that did not have

a bad smell.

Ones that should have been washed

days ago.

Emergency measures must be taken.

Scrub off the stain

and apply some deodorant

{on the inside}

and pray that no one notices.
