Not wanting to cross lines

Is it to late to issue an apology?

Will an “I am sorry” cut it?

No take backsies allowed.

Yet we hear them all the time.

Turn on the TV or streaming service

or whatever you use to watch things

and see the famous people utter

the most ridiculous things.

Then the day after like a bad hangover

we hear them say oops, my bad.

I do not even want to talk about the elected officials.

I said “Don’t get me started!”
