What I say now
affects the decisions
being made tomorrow?
Yes I filled out the survey.
No, my future voice
may have changed.
But today I know
I do not want
to keep talking to you!
What I say now
affects the decisions
being made tomorrow?
Yes I filled out the survey.
No, my future voice
may have changed.
But today I know
I do not want
to keep talking to you!
In the cafes
Walking down the streets
Sitting at the bus stops
Friendly and purring
Food left out on corners
Tourist attraction?
They sell mugs of the Greek Cats!
Back to the Daily Grind
The Routine broken
by the holidays.
Vacation is over.
Time to start
First things first
No playtime until
all the chores are done.
Sigh, I’m the adult
not the child
and this is so hard for me too!
When did we turn into Alicorns?
The story goes back
way back into the far
reaches of history.
Back when we lived on Earth.
The mythical planet.
The greenest of blues.
Until it started to die.
The Pegasus Prince was born.
And it was he who brought us here.
He revealed the magic.
He found his queen
The beautiful Unicorn.
Their children are those we call
Alicorn.
My back is sore.
Slept on it wrong?
Kitten wants to play.
The toy barely moves.
Pain slows me down.
Old is not the new youth!
What is the temperature
of too cold?
Is it hat and scarf weather?
Layers of warm sweaters?
Parka zipped up
with nothing but eyes barely seen?
Why then does my cat
want to sit and outside and freeze?
The dance is done.
The game is over.
Did someone win?
Does it matter?
The greatest movement
is played by the winds
Singing in the concert halls
As I make my way to the river.
How do I change memory?
To make a habit stop?
Learn behaviors are ingrained
but they are not who I am!
Powerful determination
and my will
The old patterns will stop!
That is my resolution!
The normalcy of the routine
Boring
so tiring
After the excitement
of seeing new things
It is redundant
and calming
Expectations known
Yet desires still
to be explored.
Vacation is over
The kids are home as well
The time away from home
was a beautiful experience
Now I must grind away
The job calls
The kids demand
The friends phone
All in all
Life is good
