Fall Mornings

The crispness of the air

smells wonderful

as coffee is sipped in silence.

The neighbourhood is quiet

only a few morning sounds

echoing along the streets

as more people wake up.

As the sun rises so does the city.

It will be a busy day.

But not yet.

Another sip of coffee before I go back in to get ready myself.

Being Angry

People say inappropriate things.

People get mad.

Someone does something that hurts you.

What differences does it make?

What is the problem?

How can this be solved?

Anger is an emotion.

One that is given bad press.

It leads people to do to bad things.

Getting rid of anger is impossible.

It will always be with us.

So the problem is…

How can we channel the anger into a problem solving path?

One that allows us to use that energy for good!

Sloth Girls in the Morning

Trying to wake up the sleepyheads

in order to get them to school

is not a fun task.

They groan and grumble

and glare.

Oh the glares!

They are the fiercest of all!

Persistence is the key.

Eventually they stumble down the stairs

and having gathered all the leaves

of school work

out the door they go!

Sunday Blues

A lazy day

meant for lying around

and just relaxing.

A cup of coffee or tea

and the window

for outside watching.

The times when

Monday and the week to come

rise to the mind

cause a drop in mood

that rattles the tea cup.

Sundays are supposed to be fun days!

You Know You’re A…

Crazy Cat Lady

When you hurt yourself

and go “I’ll be alright”.

But….

when your cat gets hurt

an emergency rush to the vet.

“Is he alright?! Will he live?! Oh my poor baby!”

I’m not saying I’m a crazy cat lady

but I probably broke my toe

and am still walking on it.

The vet was happy to help.

Cat Attacks

The claws are not always the weapon.

Sometimes it is the eyes.

An attack of cuteness

demanding petting and cuddling.

There is also the pathetic meows

that warrant attention.

Playing or cuddling

they attack with all their weapons.

Cats are not fair fighters!
