Mothers worry.
Sometimes over nothing.
Most times
because we can not do anything.
So we try the best we can
and bring them something
that might or might not help.
Mothers worry.
Sometimes over nothing.
Most times
because we can not do anything.
So we try the best we can
and bring them something
that might or might not help.
I wend
and wove
and weave
and dance
and stitch together
nonsense
that
mayhaps
makes sense?
It is a work
of typical
silliness
and
in its simplicity
can be
beautiful.
Me!
I run afoul of sunlight.
Rise too soon
and fall back too dizzy to move again.
Soon hunger drives me up
and then coffee is made.
Cats are fed and let outside.
After that it is a blur
and who is to say what happens next.
I don’t know before bed is crawled into.
So live a life and dream for me!
I will seek you in your lair
And when the time comes
I’ll probably still be looking for my mare.
Nourishment
Or junk?
Both feed the soul
and help change our moods.
Ice cream or a dessert
to lift our spirits
while we indulge
is just as important
as the salad
or vegetable side dish
that is yummy in our tummy.
Proteins are needed to supplement
the wonders of our body
and no one
should have to go hungry.
In a perfect world no one would.
Until then
see them as humans
and feed them whenever you can.
Mixing up whose appointment it is.
Running late
or Simply finding the wrong address.
Spur of the moment decisions.
Or even trying to get one made.
Calendars were made for a reason.
Yet even those don’t always help
when you are staring straight at them!
There is a bird whose song I hear
that I know I know from childhood.
But unlike the chickadee
I am buggered if I remember its name.
Thunder rolls through the sky
After the Lightening Flashes.
Watching the Rainstorm
As it flies full force into your face.
Let the storm enter
Your home so that it can wash away
the mental distractions
That cause you so much pain.
Nature loves you
and sometimes
a storm is exactly what you need.
The morning after
a night filled with rain
usually is pleasant
unless
you have cats in the neighbourhood
and some like to leave
their scents
on your door
as a warning to your cat
that this is their territory.
Then all the rain does is amplify
a smell that you would rather leave in the litter box.
Sleep.
Eyes hurt.
Close eyes.
Sleepy.
So tired.
Why can I not sleep?
Sleepy.
So sleepy.
Close eyes once more.
