I need to stop getting distracted.
First I start the kettle.
Then I get everything ready.
Mug in place.
I pour the water in to the filter.
For some reason or other
I wander away
Only to come back to
A full cup of cold coffee.
Good friends
The weekend.
Relaxing.
Enjoying the company.
Talking and visiting.
Peacefulness.
Happiness with laughter.
Feeling good.
Squash
In the garden
The vegetables grow.
My mind eases
Until I step wrong
And I find the strawberries
Turned in to a premature jam.

to try to not make mistakes.
Yet, they happen.
The litany inside your head

So many things to worry about
Life presents challenges.
Survival being the top one.
Then, given leeway
we what satisfaction, pleasure.
The ability to thrive!
Yet most of the time
I seem simply able to confront the next obstacle
and sometimes overcome it!

Unsure of what to do first.
I need help.
So the first thing willbe.

Running out of Time
It is easy to run out of money
when you are poor.
Essentials are gone through
very quickly.
What most people don’t realize
is that time is the one thing
we lose the most of.
Because in order to get the money
We have to work more for less.
And so we lose time.
Ignorance
May be bliss to some
but uneducated leads to exploitation
and slavery
whether of the body
or the mind
is merely an outcome
of thinking
everyone else has the answers
and they will save you.
They won’t.
Not to my Taste.
Food is universal.
Fast food chains in particular.
Yet, even so
the taste is not the same.
Different ways of raising the meat
and even the water used in the bread
all combine to make fussy eaters – fussier!
NoTime
I can not be sick!
I have things to do.
I have errands to run.
People to call.
Statements to gather.
Places to visit.
So sleeping in bed is not allowed!
Which is why that is where I really want to be.
