It makes me happy

to watch them play.

Running around

chasing each other.

The younger accepting the older.

The older happy to be included.

All my kittens are adorable!

 

The Disappointment

The Relief

The Understanding

The Regret

of not being the one to have canceled first.

You know what you know

You do what you do

You learn as you learn

But was it expected?

Did you think you would

learn that what you know

is not the same as what you do?

Concentration is shot

Distractions find me easily

Sleep seems normal

The amount is weak

Food nourishes

but when did I eat last?

The inability to leave

Suffering and dying

Desperate for freedom

Scrabbling attempts made

Trying new plans

Waiting for rescue

A pitiful mewing

from inside my sock drawer

Stanley.

Sparkles.

Cattastrophe.

Cattapult.

Marshmallow.

Totoro.

Soot Sprite.

My poor kittens

If I did not wield the veto

Imagine what they might have been called!

The human gave us food!

Curled up on my chest.

His fur in my face.

The kittens stole his perch.
