Integration back into the household is slow

Cautious that things might erupt

She was confined away for three days

To ensure the medicine had time

to allow her to heal.

Now it is mainly to watch the other cats

Definitely a treat

Handfuls or one at a time

Calories, who cares!

Salty, sweet, nutty goodness.

Crunchy and delicious.

It is a good snack

but for dinner

It is a lifetime commitment

To them.

They will love you unconditionally

and in return

you provide them with the necessities.

Even when they get hurt

or fall sick

care is to be taken.

Everyman’s dream

beautiful woman

wanting to kiss him

having to kiss him

even though she would never do it otherwise

Fairs and old time games

that placed women as objects to be won

are outdated

and unsafe.

Also,

Sleep good

Mind clearing

Seeing possible

Wonder of all wonders

Stumbling still happening

but lethargy is fading fast

The day awaits

but first

I wish I could blame my own choices

because then I wouldn’t feel angry.

Instead my child for the last three nights

has prevented me from sleeping

I have become the zombie parent

and move ever so slowly this morning.

All I wish for is a decent nights sleep

and instead I am sure

Nonsense in

Gobbledy gook out

What is the point

of this poem

I have no time

to think

because I no coffee

intake happening

…

Starting out strong

is usually the first sign of trouble

because one mistake will cause

an avalanche to undermine

whatever achievement

you are seeking.

A steady resolve to strive for the best

is sometimes a better way to go.

Other times look at why you are trying

to change whatever it is

and see that radical changes are not needed.

Simply love and kindness

often do the best work

Out of the corner of your eye

A flickering movement.

That dread you sense when

you pass a darkened doorway.

Waking up to something

slithering across your floor.

The monsters are the ones

who prey upon the weak

such as rapists

and the murderers

The terrible noise

It goes by the house

and all the fur

stands up on the cats

They despise the evil machine

that cleans our walks

and rightly so

it disturbs their peaceful oasis
