The house has not burnt down
I am thankful she is unhurt
My child likes to play dangerously
I can not say I blame her
Experimenting and knowing it is wrong
Only made me want to actually see if it was true
when I was her age
The house has not burnt down
Worry
It is an anxiety that we can not control
yet we are prone to doing it anyways.
Stress
It is helpful in small doses
yet we over do it and stress ourselves out.
Intuition
Is all fine and dandy
when it is correct and helps us avoid problems.
Inspiration
Is an incredible elation of joyous energy
Until all the real work is to be done and then nothing happens.
Logic
It is a problem solvers dream
To be able to put puzzles together and finish them.
Yet it is wisdom
the common sense of the heart
that eludes us most because our brains
like to over ride the love within it.
Hearts long to see the one who delights and soothes
To be comforted and spend time relaxed and renewed.
Seasons change our scenery
and yet our vision stays the same.
It is the heart that wants the love
and the purpose of what you bring
to this world.
Desire is strong
A made up word
Blessed to be creative
Sense of right returns
Head clears as words leave mouth
Brain switches off
A nap is in order
Drunk tired needs to handled
Maybe food would be good?
Greens like to be fed
Blacks have the acid
Reds breathe out fire
Whites can be placid
Blues are forever electric
And their eggs are not flaccid
Whatever name we chose
it matters not
As long as we acknowledge
that we were made
Whether it is made up of atoms
or magically created
we are here and this world
is the only one we know about.
Pharmacist worried
Pills running low
Shortages in memory
Making time go slow
Stress causing anxiety
which ups the ante
and all the while
Not feeling dandy
Anger is a problem
so relief is sought
this hard won battle
is yet to be fought
All out of sorts
and instincts are awry
Feelings overwhelm me
and so my brain is fried
Brain not focusy
Hands wide away
Eyes not worky
Legs buckle droopy
Mouth say wordy words
but meaning lost
Great is the day
as attention goes far
A delightful mixture
with fruit and cinnamon.
Warm and spread with butter.
Come what may
(pimples)
I will savor the deliciousness
that lies before me.
It is only a family supper
with ex-in-laws.
What is the fear about?
She is a formidable woman
but that doesn’t mean you are not!
She can be blunt.
You like that
sometimes.
Other times she hurts you
without realizing what she did.
Can you tell her?
Maybe now
after all these years
though you know she still harbors bitterness
maybe the bridge can be crossed
one step at a time.
