Noisy neighbours tonight.

Either way, lack of sleep is in your future

for the important event you have the next day.

When they say

that we are headed to a restuarant

that is downtown

after weeks of trying to get you

out of the house

only to find

that someone else will be joining us.

Blind date

or an old friend.

There for the reminisces.

Either way

margaritas and fun were had.

Electrical Impulses

Zap through the network

Along lines of the system

Travelling to places waiting for a response.

What happens when those direstions

Do not arrive?

Blame it on the wiring.

Now you know why

I don’t respond like you expect me to.

Itch to scratch

or the scratch that is itchy?

Do you scratch

because it itches?

Or is it itchy

because you were scratching?

Deep philosophical ponderings here!

Burn the organ

into oblivion.

Reflux the acid

that deals the agony.

Go the extra mile

and find the tube that you cannot tie!

Empty Nest Syndrome.

Differences in grocery bills.

The death of a loved one.

Doctor visits lessen.

Opening the door to find snow on the ground.

Digging through the winter clothes.

Instinct is no longer

a reliable backup.

If I had been proactive

and looked into the possibilities

I would have realized

that I should have been exercising.

Still, it is good to have the sword in hand

and swing that shinai for fun once more.

The sun shines brightly.

The weather is fine.

I should be outside enjoying myself

Instead of hiding behind curtains

Blinking in pain.

I was wet

But now I’m dry.

I sure could go

For some Apple Pie!

Or chocolate.

Or perhaps coffee?
