Sometimes I think I play too many board games.

Nahhhh.

Time to go break out Quilts Cats – Calico.

When the man who represents all things horrible in this world

Is the leader of the enemy army in your dream and all you can do

is watch him order his army to tantalize a new country

into joining him

You really want to summon those monsters that can destroy him.

Even if they will attack you too.

Evil begets evil.

Warm sweater.

Fuzzy socks.

Mug of hot chocolate.

Good book to curl up with.

After as the treat for doing all the boring errands out in the cold.

Second day and already almost gone.

Screaming at the TV.

Yelling at the kids for supper.

Loud music for impromptu dance parties.

Running the dishwasher at 6am.

Laundry being done after 11pm.

Who else is at fault for these unseemly thin walls?

The couch.

My computer chair.

The carpeted stairs.

My mattress.

But not the actual post standing in the living room.

The goal that won the game.

The athlete’s injury.

The pride of the home town.

The excited whispers of the secrets found.

But only if you played the video game long enough.

The boasting that nobody likes a sore loser.

Yet, we still compete and play these games.
