It’s only been a day.

I feel so lost.

Things need to get done.

No direction for the wicked.

We should just let it go.

No one has any rights any more.

The world is dying

and I don’t want to play along.

A strong-willed trait

that leads to arguments

and generally unhappiness.

Though sometimes

it means

you can be certain

the job

or task

will get done

because they won’t give up

until it is finished.

This expert tells me I need to wear makeup

in order to be attractive to others.

This expert tells me my wardrobe is out of fashion.

This expert tells me I need to lose weight

in order to be happier.

This expert tells me I need to cover up the grey in my hair.

This expert and this expert and this expert….

The only expert I truly need to listen to is the one that listens to my friends.

For when they tell me I am beautiful just as I am

it makes that voice inside me that says I am enough,

content.

Well, I also listen to my doctor because her advice is based on sound scientific education.

When an unrelated incident

causes you to rethink your world views.

To be visited at night by psychedelic poultry

who want to convert you to their new found religion.

Only to discover

you are not

Dreaming.

What am I most comfortable with?

Will it make my life better?

Does it make me feel good?

Or is it fear that motivates me?

Can I mostly ignore it?

Or will it force me to look at myself?

And my choices?

Consequences are things I want to avoid.

So I will choose the path of least resistance!

Certain symbols are used

Found within various markings.

Their meanings change because time moves forward.

Societies may come and go.

Even the symbols are adapted.

Given new life in altered shapes.

Who really knows what the lives of our ancestors were like?

So in order to affect the future

start with the one certainty

everyone has.

Themselves.

Respect comes when you see their demands.

You listen to their limits

and do your best to follow them.

Patience is sometimes required.

You wait for them to come to you.

Oftentimes it is a two way street.

Respect must be earned by both parties.

Mistakes will be made.

No one is infallible.

In the end it is worth it when you see how happy they are.

Do you want to know the latest thing to have happened?

When all that is reported is horrible incidents.

Death, doom and despair.

These are the things that sell newspapers.

The few remaining that still exist.

News streams are polarized politically

and when good things do happen

they are overshadowed by the atrocities.

Will I discover good news when I click the site?

To not know is not bliss, only ignorance.

Sheets of Paper.

Reams still used.

Made of new substances.

Yet still dreaded

by all the offices

around the world.
