Pants outfit for the morning.
The tank top for the afternoon.
Maybe two different ones
depending on the weather.
The evening will be daring
and a little black dress.
Or perhaps the elegant red one?
As for bed
why nothing of course.
It simply won’t do in this heat!
Now my day is complete.
What am I doing?
Why nothing of course!
I fear you must get far away from me now
or I will chop your hands off to keep them clean.
I will lock you in your rooms
to keep from having to trip over your toys.
You will go without food or water
so I no longer have to clean the bathroom messes.
And yet I cannot
for I love you dear
and having my back hurt
in order to pick you up
is only nature’s way
of telling me I am old.
I accidentally grabbed the wrong package.
I do not have a tolerance for heat.
So my mouth is burning
and I fear my poor stomach
will be in agony soon.
Change happens
and is very annoying sometimes.
When a routine has to be altered
it frustrates until the new one is established.
That was over here before.
Why would they place that here?
Where is it?
Why can I not do what I used to do?
All the little things that people in general
do not like to do
make such a difference
when you have a friend
who is trying their best.
If nobody else
seems to help
then change the routine
and help them.
You must be wary
of every step taken today
for who knows how close
danger lurks in the way.
Walk by a stranger on the bench
stop to say hello
and next time you cough
worry hardens the blow.
Every shop keep
has to make their ends meet
yet every customer
is illness walking in their feet.
No one is safe these days
so we act paranoid
and try to run away
and yet social distancing drives us all crazy!
I am a gamer
and I like my games.
So much so
that I forget to eat
or sleep
or move from my chair
and so the days go by
with out me knowing
who is out there
or why.
Acknowledging your ancestors
Whoever they might be
Be proud of who you are today.
Be ashamed of their actions
that caused harm to others
but love the life they lived
for in loving others
they passed it forward to you.
The world is bigger than all of us
but we still live every day
for the ones coming after us!
They were playing so nicely
Taking turns
having fun chasing the string
He was cuddly and cute
and she was jealous.
Within a snap
she turned into crazy mode
and chased him all around the house
breaking a few dishes
as they swept past the table.
Now he is relegated back to the basement
while she guards the rest from his intrusion.
Upon first waking up
The brain is foggy
and slow to distinguish
what is meant by things in front of it.
Coffee or other wake up means
sometimes help.
Then somedays
no matter what
you look at the words
in front of you
and simply
can not
comprehend
their meanings.
Normally I am okay
with not seeing people
for days at a time
but even I need to talk
to someone
anyone
who sees me
as a human being
and not another number
or case subject
