Not wanting to be bored.
Finding amusement
even at the expense or laughter of others.
Childish and rambunctious.
Not always being polite
but trying to be cute enough
to get away with the mischief.
Is it my cat and my child?
Not wanting to be bored.
Finding amusement
even at the expense or laughter of others.
Childish and rambunctious.
Not always being polite
but trying to be cute enough
to get away with the mischief.
Is it my cat and my child?
Staring straight at me.
Big golden eyes.
Reflections seen within those orbs.
No idea what thoughts are behind them.
Curiousity is fulfilled when she steps on my keyboard.
I erased her keystrokes.
She’s staring at me now
from behind the computer screen.
Oh beautiful cat eyes
what joy you bring me!
Thou shalt not take the Lord’s name in vain.
So I make up random phrases that mean the same thing.
Sugar Booger is one of my favorites.
But not everyday can you use a non-standard curse.
These are the days when things are monumentally crazy.
This is when the stops are pulled
and out comes
Son of a Beetle, Giraffe, Antelope, Watermelon, Fridge maker Jeeeeeee…..pers!
Is the price of inflation
so bad that two dollars
is not enough for a bottled water?
Taxes and deposits
increase the price
until your money is gone.
Spent and drained
no one is immune to prices
going up and up.
When it is
your last two dollars
you learn the value of money the hard way.
When the world denies your existence
who is the one to value you?
There are always the definitions
that society uses
of material goods,
status,
and fame.
But these are fleeting
and greatness
changes with each generation.
The look in the eyes of stranger
when you helped them
may also seem fleeting
but that is the true measure of your soul.
There are no kind people anymore.
Everyone is selfish
Mean and cruel.
Self absorbed by their own interests.
Only wanting to be satisfied
Happy with getting it all!
Winning the race of money.
And no one looks at the flowers
unless they decorate the casket.
A house should be built on a stone
but when all there is nothing but sand
you learn to build a mobile home.
Circumstances can change rapidly
adaptation is the key to survival.
Who is the one that is your stone?
A person?
A God?
or a thing?
An object that defines you?
This house is built on neither stone
nor sand
and it does not belong to me!
When one detail is forgotten.
Sometimes important ones.
Sometimes just embarrassing.
Little things that mean you have to work
twice as hard to make up for.
In the end you always say
“What, wait Oh no I forgot your birthday!”
Any request made is met with a screech.
Questions are answered with a hiss.
Nagging only produces flight.
A chore is the ultimate enemy
meant only for destruction.
The few words this beast utters
is monosyllabic at best.
The novelty has worn off.
Please revert back to my child?
Eventually I’ll have the time.
Eventually I’ll have the money.
Eventually I’ll be prettier.
Eventually will never come.
Eventually I’ll wear that dress.
Eventually I’ll climb a mountain.
Eventually I’ll live in paradise.
Eventually comes at a price.
For eventually is a dream
and dreams fade.
Today is a much better day!
