The little things that make me want to scream!
It’s never just one thing at a time.
All I want is to be able to solve one problem
Before I have I to deal with another.
Unfortunately life is never fair.
My five minutes of peace is done.
Time to tackle the problems for the day.
He lacks confidence
but is extraordinarily kind.
He is thoughtful and precise.
His laugh is genuine and his smile indescribable.
He thinks of things that mean something to you
and then plans for the best way for it to be received.
He is there for me when I need a friend
and I will do the same for him.
I will cheer him up when he gets sad.
I will join him on his excursions
as we navigate the days adventures.
He leaves a lasting mark on my heart
and I will cherish him and these memories!
First things first.
Done in the right order
they will facilitate the efficiency
of the overall productivity
that is desired.
Instead I usually sip my coffee
until the time glanced at
reminds me I need to go
NOW!
The distance you need to become more mature
or experienced as gamers would say is measured in levels.
The geek in me wonders why my age
shows so high
when my wisdom is not great.
My intelligence seems to vary
and my dexterity also fluctuates.
My constitution has never been very good
but it has served me well.
As for my charisma…
That is the one trait I have never figured out!
For all my levels I do not think I have grown as a character is meant to.
For one thing
my life is not a game!
You may not see the effort I have been putting in.
The messy house is still a mess.
The kids are still missing some days of school.
I have been working on the depression
talking to my doctor and friends and therapist.
Who will believe me when I tell them
“I have been trying!”
when all they see is the chaos that is my life
and how nothing seems to change.
I have never been a good
parent.
I have never been a good
housekeeper.
I have never been a good
wife.
Or mother
or friend
or companion
or esteemed artist
or budding musician
or loyal politician
or even a general handy person.
But I am good at being me
flawed
and ever so imperfect.
Because even though I may never excel
at one thing
I am not bad at a lot of the important stuff.
It is not lest we forget.
It is remember and teach.
Look around and see the changes
happening right before our eyes.
See the ones who ignore
and the ones who stand idly by.
Watch for the moment when things go bad
because then it will be too late
and you will be one of them!
Then the peace so heartbreakingly won
will be meaningless
because we let the war begin again!
Diamonds are plentiful.
So are the oil barrels.
When people think of what we have
they think of material gain.
The one thing they forget is to see the future
and what we have left for the rest of the world.
Some don’t care what their impact is
others do but have no choice
but to give in to societal pressures.
For the greatest resource and the one that is so hard to find
is this planet that we live on.
It is unique.
It is one of a kind!
Is it assault
if I am cutting myself?
Is it cannibalism
if I eat my own flesh?
Is it murder
if they asked me to kill them?
Am I alive
if I have died in spirit?
Does God truly exist
if bad things continue to happen?
If so,
can I get a refund?

Move faster than light
and you still have no time.
Things must be ready.
Ready for what?
For life!
To be conscious and awake!
To be able to breathe!
Love the ones you call family!
Be a friend to others!
To be yourself and like it!
