I told them it had to last
I told them to always leave me some
I told them
and they didn’t listen
Now I don’t even have a slorp or even a few droplets for my coffee
I told them it had to last
I told them to always leave me some
I told them
and they didn’t listen
Now I don’t even have a slorp or even a few droplets for my coffee
When bad things happen
they come to your rescue.
They bring you comfort
and solace when grief is overwhelming.
An accident or trauma
will find them by your side
holding your hand and just being there.
They do these things because they know you
and they know
that should these things happen to them
you would it all for them too!
Seeing someone and enjoying their company
as opposed to wanting to help them even if it is unpleasant.
Ordering the same food every time
as opposed to getting that special treat.
Finding the right moment to watch that show
instead of finding something to watch.
Seeing two things you like and realizing you have a favorite.
Like a Rose and Lilacs.
Both smell pretty,
but you know which one you prefer.
It is good for the soul.
Bitter, yet sweet.
It combines the heavens and hells
and gives them to you to eat.
Pimples be damned
Today I really need this treat.
As a kid
we would watch the horses
as they ambled up to us.
Sometimes it was to watch the cows
as they watched their calves.
Today the fences are metaphorical
and not nearly as interesting to watch from.
It is not always physical.
Sometimes it is being told something you should have known.
Being brought to the realization
that you need to do an extremely difficult action
not just for you but for those around you.
Curling up into a ball is not an option/
When too many things require your attention
and details get lost or blurred
When will you be able to act upon the desired alterations?
Is it a good idea to plot and plan things out?
Depends on if it is a war plan or a bedroom makeover.
Things piled up
due to sickness,
no time,
scheduling problems,
no energy,
distractions,
and anything else
so only the bare minimum is done.
The priority is livable not cleanliness.
The chemical trails that litter the mind
causing pathways to open
when resistance is weak or futile.
Habits that are ingrained
and are found harder to change as time moves on.
Prescriptions help to combat some negative effects
while exercise and good food provide assistance.
Without the mental illness problems of this world
we would be less exciting.
Some might say safer,
but you do not need to be mentally ill
in order to be evil.
When home no longer feels like home.
Does the body follow the mind?
The wandering desire to flee the usual settings
Becomes more intense each day.
Can the soul begin to heal
And where can the medicine be found?
The answer is different for most
And unfortunately for some
It is never found.
Walk away my friend, walk away.
