Scheduling dilemmas
overwhelm those who cannot see joy.
Obligation strikes fear
into what should be a happy occasion.
Comfort and peace
come at a price.
If blood is thicker than water
maybe we should stop spilling it.

You say without the core
the fringes would not survive.
Perhaps you misunderstand,
the fringe does not want to be the core,
they merely want to be treated with respect,
Courteousness and kindness.
All things the core takes for granted.
Mainly because they have the fringe to scapegoat.
No one wants to be the scapegoat
and doing something to change it
is what the core is really afraid of.
They don’t want to give up their comfort zone
and so try to push the fringes away – again.
Pain broken voice.
Tears finally allowed to release.
Heart hurting because of truth.
Doubt, guilt and uncertainty
still trying to keep their footholds.
Seeing them
and realizing
you are still that kid
who just wanted to know
they were loved.
That they were seen.
Trying to find new ways
of accepting what is past is gone.
Someday, someday it will come.
Learning never stops.
Watching others
gives you new ideas
to try and practice.
Classes can be enjoyable
and I want to be a better artist.
All the excess non-comfortable clothing.
A piece of art I made back in junior high.
Many, many books.
Including the first one in a favorite series.
All? of my lip balms?
Now that the dry weather of winter is coming
(and I am sniffily sick) I want my lip balms!
Sigh, I guess I’ll just have to get more!
With the understanding, once I do, I’ll find the rest of them.
I wake in a fuzzy haze.
My cat’s weight weighs me down.
I don’t want to get up.
Sleep seems way to good to lose right now.
The cold chill air furthers my desire to remain under covers.
My dream slips away and the day rudely makes me greet it.
Looking through the grate
In the carrier,
Into the eyes frightened by this change.
Promising her
She will not be in danger anymore.
I drive away from the farm
Knowing this life is not going to be a coyote’s meal.
What you say
about me
reflects more on you.
Onion Breath.
When opposing views are shared
in the waiting room
the staff might have to fear
that an altercation is imminent.
Thankfully, the gentleman
just decided to talk to another male
instead of arguing with me.
An opinionated old woman.
He can take his Archie Bunker style of humour
and shove it up his A@#.
Down to Earth.
Quantum growth available.
Fire the slingshot past Mars.
Voyager journeys on.
Gravity compels us.
Slow your heart rate.
Give the Sun and the Moon back to me.
Stars shoot past the comets.
