If I do not talk to you for a year
I will try to call on Christmas.
You are my Family
and even if we are far apart
I want you to know I am still here!
If I do not talk to you for a year
I will try to call on Christmas.
You are my Family
and even if we are far apart
I want you to know I am still here!
Is it evil to wash someone’s clothes
just so they can not go home?
In this frigid weather
it might just be the logical choice.
Is a weekly chore.
Or should be.
Not a monthly or daily chore.
Unless you live alone
or have children who like to make messes.
We walk a mile.
Turn to the road.
Leaves crunch underfoot.
A plastic bag caught in a tree.
We refuse to leave it behind.
Nature needs no man made litter.
We walk upon this earth.
Leave only footsteps behind.
You don’t mean to let it bother you.
Yet it won’t leave your mind.
It revolves around and around
On the same track
Worn down by the repeated worries.
If only getting out of the rut was as easy as identifying that one is there.
Three tasks done
and three more to go.
Early the riser
and tired she goes.
Do the errands
as complaining shows.
Then exhausted
collapse in front of TV show.
Squiooshiable.
Flufflier as they age.
Softer and sweeter.
Oh so cute.
Pets are to be adored.
TGIF.
Thank goodness it’s Friday.
The day where you can see the weekend.
Relaxing or recharging.
However you like.
My mind is confused
but I still look forward
to the company of a very good friend.
I thought I had put that in the vehicle?
Why are these clothes still here?
Where’s the medication from the cabinet?
Who took the last of the milk and did not rinse the jug?
When was my next appointment?
Where’s my head?
I know my glasses are on them somewhere!
Paint drops
Leaving flecks
Spattered along
Neck and shoulders.
The cabin is a work
of art.
I used a roller
to get things
rolling.
