It has broken.

The rain pours.

Kids play in puddles.

School starts again next week.

Until then

parents are hoping for sunnier, warmer skies

so they can throw the mischief makers outdoors!

Those welcome sounds

that herald the final thaw of winter.

The emergence of the birds

and the mating calls enacted.

Best of all

the chirping of the cats

as they watch through the window

hoping some day soon

to be let out

so they can go murder the feathered chirpers.

Mechanically Inept.

Technologically disinclined.

Doors sometimes are a challenge.

Thumbtacks require major pondering.

No DIY’s for me.

Painting?

Getting messy?

Yeah, I can do that!

There is something soothing

about the two dimensional immersion.

You get to roam a world

of unexplored possibilities.

Yet the world is obviously

not reality.

Imagination takes flight

and you can let yourself enjoy the ride.

Standards are kept up.

Laws are put in place.

Someone decides what the rule is.

Those who can not keep up

are laughed at and disposed.

Things get ugly for them.

Yet, the laws only punish them.

Help is unthinkable.

So who really failed the grade?

When watching shows

that talk of biopsies and tumors

only to find one

on yourself

is very disconcerting.

Worry will get me nowhere

but hope seems to fly away faster than butterflies in summer.

Exercise is important.

Always has been.

The older we get

the more we learn.

So how long do you want to live for?

Physical age has nothing to do with maturity.

How often do you hear about the man child?

Or someone wise beyond their years.

Why do you think that person has an “old soul”?

Maybe, just maybe

Society should stop judging people superficially.

We know that day will never come.

Watching the shows.

Compassion grows.

Anger flashes.

Poachers despised.

Meat is still eaten

but cruelty is never acceptable.

Some day worms will eat us.

The mystery is waiting to be solved.

Adventure is what we seek.

Do not ask why or where we go

For I will not tell you.
