What is that odour?

Is it rotten food?

Animal droppings?

A dead fish?

Ugh.

I need to find it so I can get rid of it!

Just like a bra

mental energy can sag.

When you get the right support

you perk up

and are livelier

and more social!

The country is beautiful.

People can be friendly.

Not always polite

But we can have bad days too.

Enjoy the weekend and see you when the flag flies free.

Not often

Do I get a chance

To sleep in

And enjoy

Just waking up.

By myself.

No interruptions.

Slowly opening eyes

And enjoying the calls of the birds outside.

My interests are still the same.

Life has gotten busier.

Time is more valuable.

My attention is still short

Or actually hyper focused

To a fault.

I will be free from worry.

The sun will be warm and not hurt me.

My thoughts will be gentle and kind.

Forever a dreamer

That is me.

Alas and alack

The time has come.

When fondness grew

And fun was done.

Now it is the Hat house

That resides

And change is impatient

And not always forgiving.

Confidence is shaky.

Sometimes firm.

Other times flown.

Timid people suffer

Because they can’t ask the questions.

So,

Let me remind you…

You’ve got this!

Now I am the one who has the power.

I say yes or no.

No longer am I dancing to his strings.

If only I could get out from society’s yoke.

Repentance is not easy.

Blame and shame are harder to forget.

Some would rather deny they wronged

and claim they were always right.

Others look upon those individuals

with pity.

And fear.
