A rush of words

spewed out

at a rapid pace.

Understanding comes

as the connections are made.

References and citations

dropped within the maze

of the twisting words.

How does one

make such a wonder

and hope it will be

the World’s Eighth one?

Someday,

when I am rich,

I will commission

a pool shaped

liked a teacup

thus

fulfilling a childhood

desire

that all my dolls

had shared!

I struggle.

All day I smile.

Cheerfulness is the refrain.

Happy and helpful.

Yet now that I’m home

my thoughts turn dark.

Tears run from my cheeks.

I only wish to be left alone.

And I’m not.

What happens next when you still need to be positive

and you have no more energy to give?

December has arrived.

Christmas is coming.

Where can I set up the tree?

The corner has the cat house.

The furniture is too big.

In front of the TV?

Puzzle upon puzzle.

All I know

is that outside

is right out!

Worry Time.

Worry until the end.

Worry Inflation.

Wisdom Letter.

Facing the worst.

What wonders you have birthed

As we have watched you these eons.

First on Earth, a god

who loved his wine and women.

Then we learned more as probes passed by.

Your beauty shown more each passing picture.

Then came the actual exploration

populated with space pioneers.

Your moons are now covered with our people,

though you yourself have been left untouched.

Mother Saturn, thank you.

The old archives have revealed treasures

of the civilization we live in.

This beautiful planet we call home

was first explored from afar.

No one expected us to stay

and yet here we are.

This wonderful universe is so full

of things to explore.

Saturn and its moons

will remain as my heart.

The usual status quo

as the days wear on.

The blandness of nothing

exciting or new.

Some yearn for this,

others despise it.

Today I want the usual.

Quiet, unassuming.

Expectations and responsibilities fulfilled.

Tomorrow when I have more energy…

Tomorrow I’ll decide.

I am not alone.

My thoughts are always with me.

I have many blessings

for which to be thankful for.

But I chose which ones to love.

I have chosen you.

Even if you don’t want it.

I will always cherish you!

The shopping craze.

I must have THIS!

I will scream until

you magically produce one!

What do you mean

you have no more in stock!

Your flyer advertised it.

It is so on sale!

It says so right here!

No the tag was not moved!

You better honor it!

Or else I’ll call the manager!

You are the manager?!

Shame on you for setting

such a bad example for your employees.

No! I did not spit on you!

I just want my deals!
