The quiet ones watch the loud ones.
There are those who munch the nibblies.
The extroverts and the funny ones.
The host goes between them all.
I watch and enjoy the spectacle
since it is not often I go to parties anymore.
It is good to see old friends
and meet some new ones.
More often than not I interact ineptly,
but at least I am here!
Hungry.
Should eat.
No energy to make things
to eat.
But food….
food gives back energy.
Hey, am I waking up?
Whoo hoo lets go get the this day started!
The joys of juggling
all of life’s decisions.
The struggles of which
responsibilities need to be the priority.
When free time
is collapse on the couch
and if you are lucky
you made tea to go with it.
Otherwise a busy schedule
keeps you from enjoying
the little savoury moments.
There’s so much to do.
Can I get it all done?
Maybe if I do this half today
and the rest tomorrow?
Do I really need to clean this?
Where did all the socks go?
Who made this mess
and why did nobody tell me?!
Wait! I was supposed to be doing fun chores today!
So much for my clean house for Christmas.
I will be lucky if I have a clean room instead.
You are not my boyfriend.
You are not the one who wants me.
You do not want to chose me
because I am not what you wanted.
Maybe if in a few years you would settle for me,
but I am not a trophy
nor am I a consolation prize!
I am worthy as myself
and someday someone will see my true value!
Can not make a decision?
Choices flash before me
and none/all appeal to me!
What must I do to end this confusion?
Oh right?
Pick one.
In other words stop dilly dallying
and choose something!
She will sit so still.
Just like a mini gargoyle.
Watching you as you eat,
type or read.
She likes the high spots
so she can look down
and survey all below her.
She is small and black
and is my perching cat!
Bad choices are made.
Life smacks you upside the head.
Nothing goes right
and things always backfire.
Yet you smile and wave
and act like everything is great.
Being an idiot
is not the same as being an optimist.
Idiot don’t see the damage they cause others.
Optimists see it as making them stronger.
Either way it is the road to ruin.
The red dot has appeared!
Will I catch it today?!
Chase it I must!
She controls it!
I see the dot come from her hand.
The small thing that makes it shine!
Oh so wonderful and fast!
