The parts of the whole
that have been torn apart.
Pieces missing
but not lost.
Thoughts of cohesion
force the logic to comply.
Then join together
in a way only the comprehension
looks complete
but is fully unstable.
The parts of the whole
that have been torn apart.
Pieces missing
but not lost.
Thoughts of cohesion
force the logic to comply.
Then join together
in a way only the comprehension
looks complete
but is fully unstable.
When you reveal too much –
too soon.
You tell things about yourself
because you think they are funny
or just wanting to talk.
Maybe, just maybe
you should let them talk instead.
When you think you have found Heaven
Only to discover
You heard wrong
and that there is Nothing Better.
One swish
and down goes the glass.
Water spilling everywhere.
Another swish flings the paper off the table.
A fork is the innocent bystander
caught in the tails next pass.
Oh, to be the animal
that can get away with such behaviour
simply because they are cute!
For the trauma caused.
For the memories tainted.
Because of the continuing difiiculties.
That manifests unexpectedly.
For making me into who I am today.
Because of the bitterness.
For the time lost.
There is still smoke in the air.
It stinks each time you step outside.
Yet, there is also the tang of promised rain.
Moisture to combat the dry hot days.
Rain is a much welcomed respite.
Time to dress in layers again.
Just in case.
Learning a new skill
means practicing
and being okay
with the mistakes made.
Nobody, is perfect
and that shows up
whenever your talents are exposed.
It helps if you like learning mew things as well
and not just try to tell others what you have already learned.
Sometimes your body will tell you
what it is missing.
If you are craving something specific
you might find yourself
eating a spoonful of Peanut Butter.
A craving for sweets might mean
just having some fruit.
Salty foods taste better, right?
Or in my case,
usually in winter,
my body wants the little bit of extra fat
and find myself guilty
of just eating one straight spoonful of mayonnaise.
Get off your high horse.
You’re opinionated stance is annoying.
Don’t you know how insufferable
The things you say are?
Yes,
But you don’t have to read my poems.
Tired.
Clean up time.
Without realizing
Hands begin to start
Putting the components away.
Laugh and say
This can be finished later.
Yet,
One more task.
Small things are done.
After this I’ll stop.
Keep going.
More things are cleaned up.
Then at the end,
Despite the exhaustion
Satisfaction envelops you
Because that is one less task for later.
