Finding the Rainbow

Storms come.

They wash away everything.

The good and the bad.

They leave behind chaos and debris.

Storms come

and then they go.

Sometimes they leave you cleaner.

Sometimes a bath is needed.

When the sky returns

you will always find your colour!

Time and Time Alone

What happens when you are alone?

Do your thoughts take over

or do you sing to break the silence?

Do you find yourself walking

and looking at everything around you?

Do you curl up into a ball

and wish someone you knew would hug you?

Do you cry and scream against the elements?

Do you find yourself sinking deeper into yourself?

Do you?

What do you do when you are truly alone?

Bingo

Who’s the caller?

What number is the final one?

Is the yelling truly happiness

or merely a front for other drugs?

How many people does it take to draw them out?

The resistors or the Nazis?

I know my number will be called.

Not today.

Maybe not tomorrow.

But someday,

maybe someday soon.

Because they do not like the ones who struggle

and fight the oppression that they are enforcing.

ADHD

Problem child!

Never going to make it in this world.

Yelling and screaming increase the outbursts.

So embrace the special treats they give.

They have strengths that no else knows.

They are unique in their purposes.

And love life in a way that is a joy to see.

History Repeats

If there are ten people at a table

and one more comes to sit down.

Would you welcome that person

if they have a differing point of view?

What if they were a Nazi?

Would you stand up and walk away

as all your friends talked and joked with them?

A killer doesn’t have to do the dirty work.

All they have to do is to ignore what is happening.

When your country has a leader that idolizes

the world’s dictators and their merciless rules

What will you do?

The choice is not hard.

Just beware the consequences.

Fester Fester Fester Rot Rot Rot

All I do is whine

bemoaning my life

and the horrible burdens I bear.

I know others have it worse.

Others have gone through worse.

But one thing I have learned is

that does not invalidate my own experiences.

It does not wipe away the slate of what happened to me.

I have gone through trauma

and survived.

Whimpering about my life helps me heal

but only for so long.

So thank you for listening

as I get back on track to working on being a better me!
