People argue which animal is better.

Dogs versus cats.

Lizards and snakes can be affectionate too.

Yet the one thing they agree on

is hate is only found in one creature.

Humans.

We are superior in every way

including our ability to destroy someone

out of spite.

But that ability does not define us.

We are capable of so much more!

Fight the hate

and love the love

no matter where you see it!

 

All the good boys and girls

as happy wagging tails can be!

Sunshine was out

the friends to sniff

and the places to pee!

The barks as they run

and a happy day

as we played in the sun!

The sketch pad is open

The pencils are sharpened

The motivation is there

but the idea is missing

why can’t I start?

Sigh,

the sketch pad is closed

and maybe tomorrow

my muse will return.

To see others afflicted with the same disease

you suffer from

not only validates your struggles

but makes you realize

you need to help them

just as someone helped you

in your desperate time of need.

Not all will accept the help

but a few may need it

and welcome the fellow afflicted

whose struggles are the same

and different

at the same time!

To be grateful

is a hard path to choose

sometimes.

You want to be a better person

but

life’s previous choices

come back to remind you

of the trauma

and pain

and fear

you experienced

and now

even though

you are stronger

it still hurts.

When things are fine

and you realize

what the cards

actually mean.

Does Tarot really work?

Or are the playing cards

merely stacked?

I wonder if the future

will always be so

bleak?

I think my metaphors

are mixed up

and

not so

useful.

It seems counter intuitive

to go into a covered building

when the water outside

is free.

But exercise must be done

and to stay healthy

sacrifices must be made.

So enjoy the water

wherever it may be!

When you can not find

the items you are used to buying

because the store

streamlined its product

is irritating and begs the question

how do I find one

that does have all my favorites

because coffee

is not coffee

without

that

certain

wonderful

creamer!

Please

turn down the music.

The pounding in my head

echoes with each beat

as the rhythm

accentuates the pain

that streams

through the nerves

and gives me spots

in my vision.

If only I had the

ability to mute

the world

somedays.
