People get judged

On the weirdest things.

Their clothes.

Their friends.

Their ability to be spoken to

Or for.

Skin colour

Or their weight.

Yet all it really shows

Is how these people

Are under weight in empathy.

Socializing with friends.

Guests at a cafe.

Table top play.

A good night.

I encounter it almost daily.

I find myself lost and amazed sometimes

by the strength it takes to deflect it.

Still it grows.

All I can do is love

and hope that those that hate realize what it is doing to them.

Until this happens,

I am willing to be away from the ones that spew it.

If only I knew how.

Tear the other party down.

Leaders all lie.

They speak as if they know what is best for everyone

When in truth they don’t care about anyone but themselves.

Their policies destroy

Instead of employing smart thinking.

This government is the worst.

Especially when she visits a dictator

And says it was fruitful.

No raise.

No bonus.

More hours to work.

Just a new title

to sound like they value you.

Cleaning is not fun.

It needs to be done.

Somedays I leave the mess

and wait to see if someone else will do it.

Most of the time I just receive complaints.

Snow melts sooner.

The sun comes out faster.

Spring run off should be months away.

Yet, water is reverting back to liquid

Instead of being solid

And I am alarmed by the powers that be

Who deny our climate is about to die.

Personally I swear at them all

But I know my voice is one of millions they will never hear.

Too many times

weighed down

struggling

frantically grasping

for a life line

only to find the chains

that weigh me down

dragging me further

out of reach

They can fall.

They can be built.

They can form naturally.

Feet may have arches.

Building can incorporate them.

Canyons may develop them.

My eyebrows question your validity.

Core is broken.

Certainty shaken.

Balance not found.

Horizontal challenged.

Asking for help.

The world is less scary.
