The space between keyboard
and monitor.
Just enough for her to lie down in.
Her brush is near by.
The laser pointer is usually near as well.
She knows if she stands up
it gets my attention.
Sometimes she evens hits the sleep button
and then I really have to play with her.
Or no work will be done at all.
Cats, sigh.
Which to choose?
And for what appointment?
Does it work best long distance?
Or would traveling be better?
Is the weather a factor?
Is the child home sick?
Who is being consulted?
Do you really care?
I didn’t think so.
Until then have fun traversing the pandemic!
To continue forward
despite feeling ill
or to stay curled in a ball
hiding under the blankets?
To possibly infect others
or to lose the revenue needed?
To acknowledge
or to deny the problems?
To choose
or not to choose?
These are my questions!
Eating Brownies.
Playing with the cats.
Adding birthdays.
Mid life.
Crisis has been averted.
Or maybe I just went through it already?
The fear stems from doubt.
Possibilities arising endless.
Good news or bad?
Time to be bold.
Read the novel waiting on the shelf.
It is alright if you don’t finish it.
Holiday breaks

Back to the grind
good for the pocketbook.

A fabulous talker.
A gold mine of interest.
No fishing for compliments.

What makes you cry?
Is it happiness from friends and family?
Do you laugh at cute and funny pictures on the internet?
Or do you merely gaze unseeing
At the world around us
And see nothing but misery?
What warms your heart?
Thaw it out and return to reason
For this world need someone who loves it.
People want to live forever.
Particularly the young.
They wish to experience everything.
Do everything.
Try everything.
And then they get older.
Everything has its consequences.
Smashing our bodies,
Eating unusual things,
Making friends
they all have meanings
which if you lived forever
means you would live
with a smashed body.
Hurting and aching or missing something useful.
Eating everything?
After a while
nothing surprises you any more.
Losing each and every friend?
We may all be scared when it is our time to say good-bye
but that secret will be worth finding out.
