Intersection of Fate
Stopped and watching the vehicles pass.
A short screech of tires behind
warn of the impending disaster.
A lurch as the van jumps forward.
The other vehicle can not stop
or swerve as the van is pushed into the traffic.
It does not matter who is at fault
when the soul flies from this Earth.
Falling into Patterns
Emotionally exhausted.
Spent.
Curled up in a ball.
Weeping.
Sore throat from crying.
Sick.
Thoughts overwhelming.
Tired.
Drawn back into the guilt.
Blame.
It is not my fault.
Yet…
I am the one who has to deal with it!
Loss of Interest
The world remains
at a distance.
It is there
and I am here.
No one may approach me.
No one dares.
My thoughts have become
morose
and people no longer see me.
The Beauty of Bullying
It lies in the bruises.
The audience of others cheering them on.
Self worth is defined by putting others down.
The tears cried by the victims.
The anger released.
To have that outlet is satisfying.
But don’t you dare bully my child!
Or you will find you will get more than you bargained for!
Her bravery in revealing your actions
will be rewarded by saying your name!

Puns can be fishy things
They scare the carp out of some
Pike yourself a good one
and you’ll sing a different tuna
Ferry to Lagos
Nonsense words fill my head
As the boat rocks slowly onward.
I listen to the cues
and accidentally think of you.
The sea in my mind
is replaced by the voices we heard.
Where am I going
when I feel no longer true?
Prizes
Always at the end.
They must be won.
Fantastical legends and myths.
Luck is always found.
Hard work must not be discounted.
For everyone will receive their prize.
When the pale horseman comes.

Videos or programs
or the very best games
all to waste your time.
To pass the time
until your real life begins.
