Crazy Cat Lady
When you hurt yourself
and go “I’ll be alright”.
But….
when your cat gets hurt
an emergency rush to the vet.
“Is he alright?! Will he live?! Oh my poor baby!”
I’m not saying I’m a crazy cat lady
but I probably broke my toe
and am still walking on it.
The vet was happy to help.
Looking at an unexpected lights.
Getting a stranger to help me in my need.
Who is this lady that requires my child?
No one grabs the trash can right!
Fools! I am the master here!
When the sick one decides
and differs from the expectations
the stubborn gets involved
but resolution is not in its favor.
Factoring in the time
luck sometimes has a play
in getting a reasonable outcome
where everyone gets their way!
She is curled up in my arms.
It makes her feel safe.
I feel her heartbeat next to mine.
Love is spoken through this hug.
These are the days to cherish.
The claws are not always the weapon.
Sometimes it is the eyes.
An attack of cuteness
demanding petting and cuddling.
There is also the pathetic meows
that warrant attention.
Playing or cuddling
they attack with all their weapons.
Cats are not fair fighters!
The outdoor kitties can be mean.
The buff black cat scares mine.
Even the pregnant females scare my boy.
My cat is a scaredy cat.
Yet he still wants to go outside.
He has business that must be done!
The litter box downstairs just will not do.
Bum bums
Are dumb dumb.
making you
Have to run run.
Nobody likes it.
It is not fun fun.
Thought processes not working.
No title can be found.
Ideas float by
swatted about randomly
then drift away.
Dream on tired dreamer
someday your dream will come.
Your trauma does not invalidate my trauma.
Your injury does not invalidate my injury.
Your feelings do not invalidate my feelings.
Your decisions do not invalidate mine.
Your opinions do not override my opinions.
You do not invalidate me or my experiences.
We both need help and not belittlement.
When it snows
take an extra ten minutes
to brush the snow off your vehicle.
Also give yourself more time to get to work.
If that is not an option
you obviously have no snow
where you live!
