I am the most important

I am the most important person in the world.

I govern this country so that others may live their lives.

I am the most important person in the world.

I practice medicine to help people stay healthy.

I am the most important person in the world.

I research the sciences behind why life exists to further our knowledge.

I am the most important person in the world.

I drive the economy so that everyone has a chance to share wealth.

I am the most important person in the world.

I judge those who have wronged society and give them their consequences.

I am the most important person in the world.

I fight the injustices and try to make things better.

You are all important.

I am the one without the voice

or the actions possible.

You all do this for me.

Emotional Distress

Ignoring Reality kicks you in the face.

Anxiety and stress plant you on your face.

Facing Reality can be hard with all the bruises.

The facts face off against your emotions.

The incongruity warps your facial features.

Aging faster and harsher you face time.

Face time does not go well.

Maniacally Giggling

You always know where they are.

Hidden in their room.

Tromping down the stairs.

Making messes in the kitchen.

Running through the house.

That noise announces

their arrival

and sometimes their departure.

It does however make life more interesting.

Forced Geniality

Small enclosures.

Nowhere to hide.

Must be nice.

Life is short.

Quarantine lasts too long.

Mental health degrading.

Sunshine at the end of the tunnel.

One day,

the door will open

and screaming will commence

as we flee the cage our house became.
