Snow Day

I look out the window

As the fluffy snowflakes fall.

I glance down at my cat

Curled up on my lap,

Happy and contented.

My appointment is still half an hour away.

I look at the deep drifts of snow.

I am thankful that this appointment

Can be done with a phone call,

So I don’t have to trudge through the cold weather.
