She comes running as soon as I walk out my door.
I sit down in my chair and she is demanding pets.
Meanwhile my two cats sit watching me
as the neighbour’s feline has her way.
Still, I know they love me and they know I love them.
Just somedays when coffee in hand
the morning comes and I sit outside
All I want is to enjoy this life.
