What is the fear about?
She is a formidable woman
but that doesn’t mean you are not!
She can be blunt.
You like that
sometimes.
Other times she hurts you
without realizing what she did.
Can you tell her?
Maybe now
after all these years
though you know she still harbors bitterness
maybe the bridge can be crossed
one step at a time.
