The Head that Hurts

The pain won’t stop.

Pain relievers have been taken.

Resting is not an option.

The eyes feel strained

and my body feels drained.

It is a constant ache.

Nothing seems to help.

A doctor might prescribe something stronger

but I do not think it will help.

So I will lie here in agony

and pray that the pain goes away.
